For this is how God love the World: He gave his unique Son so that everyone who believes in him might not be lost but have eternal life.
Waves Of Grace
Trust Jesus For Forgivness
9) And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10) Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. 11) The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 12) I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13) And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14) I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted
9) Jesus also told this para to some people who trusted in themselves, thinking they were righteous, but who looked down on everyone else: 10) "Two men went up to the Temple to pray. One was a Phasrisee, and the other was a tax collector. 11) The Pharisee sstood by himself and prayed, 'O God, I thank you that I'm not like other people-thieves, dishonest people, adulterers, or even this tax collector. 12) I fast twice a week, and give a tenth of my entire income.' 13) "But the tax collector stood at a distance and would not even look up to heaven. Instead, he continued to beat his chest and said, 'O God, be merciful to me, the sinner that I am!' 14) I tell you, this man, rather than the other one went down to his home justified, because everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the person who humbles himself will be exalted."
