MVM was started from a burden for the Veteran community in 2011. The ministry model was developed and endorsed by Bible Churches Chaplaincy (the DoD-approved endorsing agency of IFCA, International). In 2015 MVM was incorporated in the State of Michigan as an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
National Day of Prayer
(First Thursday of May)
Established by Congress in 1952 at the request of President Truman. Previously, our country has enjoyed a history of prayer for the nation since 1775.
Veteran Funerals
A Veteran’s funeral service can be performed in Funeral Homes, Churches, or even at grave sites. Sometimes the burial is in a civilian cemetery and sometimes in a National Cemetery. MVM chaplains are available to serve in these solemn occasions to work alongside Veteran Service Organizations (American Legion, VFW, USSVI, etc) and sometimes in cooperation with Active Duty military personnel for rendering appropriate military honors.
Sharing your faith
First Peter 3:15 tells us always to be ready to give an answer to people when they ask “why you are the way you are.”
